This has happened to most of us at some time or another.
But try to remember when that childhood friendship was your entire world and nothing else mattered.
I hope you enjoy my poem about the fleeting nature of childhood.
We Used To Play Together
We used to play together
so many years ago
Now many miles apart
our differences grow
This used to be all fields
We used to be all smiles
Where unaware we’d dance
down cherry blossom aisles
Today we passed each other
on roads we used to know
We looked the other way
and never said Hello
