M.O.T.H.E.R. A mother's day poem with a unique take on an acrostic poem

M.O.T.H.E.R.
My One True Hero Ever Rules
The Queen who crowns my joy with jewels
My One True Hero Ever Reins
The Hand who guides me through the pain
My One True Hero Ever Roots
The Earth who turns my buds to shoots
My One True Hero Ever Rears
The Arm who cradles all my years
My One True Hero Ever Roars
The Lioness who gives me claws
My One True Hero Ever Rings
The Bell who chimes my everything
My One True Hero Ever Roasts
The Pin who pops my bloated boasts
My One True Hero Ever Rocks
The Song who turns back all my clocks
My One True Hero Ever Rolls
The Beat who softly drums my soul
My One True Hero Ever Rides
The Wave who ebbs and flows inside
My One True Hero Ever Rests
The Pride who always sees my best
My One True Hero Ever Roams
The Truth who always takes me home
My One True Hero Ever Reigns
The Queen who powers through my veins

💡 I'm not really a fan of acrostic poems but I am a huge fan of my mum 😜 so I tried to experiment with the well-worn form and come up with something different and write a mother's day poem. Can you use M.O.T.H.E.R. like an acronym and make a sentence about your mum from the six letters. For each couplet, I also use a metaphor to describe my mum - which objects would you compare your mother to and why? Please share your own mother's day poems on the blog.
