Granny's Fairytale Confessions: Fairy Tale Parody Poem for Kids

Goldilocks as an old woman

Granny’s Fairytale Confessions

I have to tell you something

my granny howled with shame

I once did something awful

I know I am to blame

When I was just a small girl

my granny wailed at me

I skipped into a forest

to frolic wild and free

I saw an empty cottage

my granny sniffed and wept

I strolled in uninvited

and to the kitchen crept

I found three bowls of porridge

my granny croaked and cried

one hot, one cold, one tepid

and all of them I tried

I broke a baby’s pine chair

my granny sobbed and said

and if that wasn’t bad enough

I snoozed in baby’s bed

There’s more I have to tell you

my granny gulped at me

this mischief that I talk of

runs in the family

Your other Granny Gretel

my granny chewed her nails

and old Great Uncle Hansel

they both went off the rails

they stole the sweets and candy

my granny blubbed and bawled

from some old woman’s cottage

and honey, that’s not all!

You know your Aunty Red-Hood

my granny gasped and choked

I think it’s time you asked her

about her wolf-skin coat

My darling are you listening?

my Granny shrieked at me

as I skipped to the forest

to frolic wild and free
