Upside Down In Your Bed: Time Poem for Kids. Mindful Poem for Kids.

Upside Down In Your Bed
Sleep upside down inside your bed
Wear underpants upon your head
Climb up a slide, jump off a swing
Wear Hula Hoops like wedding rings
Do roly-polies down a hill
Spring up like you’re a daffodil
Enjoy your knees of scars and scrapes
Put on your coat like it’s a cape
Ride dragon-clouds across the sky
Don’t blink that twinkle from your eye
Go hippo-hop along the Nile
Don’t lose that sparkle from your smile
Play chase, play tag, play hide and seek
but as you count to ten, please peek
See seconds hurtle into weeks
See weeks and months race off and leap
See Time perform his magic tricks:
Today you’re three, tomorrow six
Next month you’re leaving primary school
the next you’re chasing all that’s cool
Today you’re young and that’s a fact
but Time’s a disappearing act
Sleep upside down inside your bed
wear underpants upon your head
