Super Smile: A Personification Poem about the Power of a Smile

A smiley face on a yellow ball

Super Smile

Hello, my name is Super-Smile

My superpower’s To Beguile

above your chin, below your nose

my superpower spreads its pose

I cannot fly, I have no cape

but I’m unique in force and shape

I’m not a laugh, I’m not a grin

but love and friends, I find and win

I’m Super-Smile but sometimes hide

those feelings that are trapped inside

But you will know I’m just disguise

when twinkles don’t ignite in eyes

But usually when my corners seek

to upwards climb into each cheek

I’m there because you can’t contain

the joy the neurons sent your brain

💡My poem about smiling uses personification to compare the power of a smile to a super power. Make a list of all the things your smile has the power to achieve. Imagine your smile is a superhero and write a poem about smiling and all the magic things it does ... things that we sometimes take for granted.
